Kevman
So my tank has been up for about 4 months and has had a cyano outbreak! I have cut back lights and done water change. What other things can we do as reefers to get this stuff out and keep it out? thanks Y’all
Emerald525
Check your RO water quality, increase flow, decrease feeding.
Oregonic
I have used chemiclean 2 times and never saw any negative effects when using recommended dosage. Cyano has never returned after second treatment over a year ago.
Exodus
I personally use all methods listed by Kim and Oregonic to remove Cyano. You also might want to step up on vacuuming the sandbed, and search for any dead snails or other fish that may not have been eaten.
cjmdh
I've used ChemiClean a few times and it works great. Once I bumped up my return flow and wave makers, cyano has not returned.
Kevman
Thanks Everyone ,,,I’m going to do another water change and test my ro water tomorrow .I’ll make sure to sift through the sand bed when I pull the water out for the water change...Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
