Manny Tavan
I’m looking to upgrade my reefer 170 sump to have a larger refugium compartment. Are there any local custom builders before I order something online? Any recommendations? Looking for a 17”x17”x17” cube sump with a skimmer chamber, refugium chamber and return chamber
chewie
Shoot a PM to Charles aka "wanareef". He does great work and can build anything you want.

chewie
He's usually pretty busy so give him a day or 2 to reply. Definitely worth the wait.
AcanLord
As far as sumps go, I’ve always just bought a tank the size I was, then go to a glass/plastic window store and buy plexi glass. Then cut the pieces and glue them where you want. It’s super easy. And way cheaper than paying someone else to do it. chewie
Cheaper to DIY always. But if you want something to look nice and have it custom, wanareef is the man! Here's the last one that he made for me. It holds 10 gallons of freshwater for topoff in the rear chamber. Cost was very reasonable compared to making one myself. Plus it's just beautiful!
Manny Tavan
Going to try triton method with my reefer 170 so i need something extremely specific to fit in my stand. Custom makes more sense Edited January 22, 2018 by Manny Tavan
HenryLimpet
Hey check out Multi-Craft Plastics in Tigard. They have a large area of scrap acrylic and you pay by the pound. I made 40 gal sump out of 40 gal aquarium, then built my own chambers. It works great and was cheap.
