shaywood
Didn't realize until this morning that my powder blue tang is starving. He has stopped eating. Caught him and put him in quarantine. No sign of illness and color is good. Added some garlic to mysis and brine shrimp but he won't eat.

CuttleFishandCoral
Mysis and brine are definitely not enough to sustain that fish.

Bicyclebill
Well, it’s a powder blue... while I love them, I just don’t see them being a viable long term captive fishSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
PowderBlue
I ate this morning I'm good... Haha noAll jokes aside you gotta plump them up with a ton of nori like Jeff said! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

PowderBlue
RIP Powder Blue (not PowderBlue).....Sad they are such incredible fish. If you get another, just hang a nori strip everyday, sometimes twice a day. My tanks ate it within minutes. shaywood
I was pretty good about daily nori feeding in addition to LRS. He was quite active and color looked good, so I didn't notice was getting skinny.
danlu_gt
Personally, I don't think there are any nutritional value to nori. It's seaweed that processed and baked. Any vitamin are probably baked out of it. It's good to use to get fish to start eating or as treats but not as stable food. I have yet to see any captive tang fed solely on nori that's healthy and fat long term.LRS are good choice. NFS marine pellets and Cobalt flakes are also good stable food. When feeding flakes, I suggest pinching a good amount and squeeze them tight together under water. This will keep most of the flakes stuck together into a bigger piece which would make it easier for fish to consume. For DIY, rinse some frozen grocery raw shrimps and mince them in food processor then freeze in ziplock bags then break chunks to feed. You also add a little sprinlina powder to the food processor. It will make your tank a little greenish during feeding but clears up quickly.Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
