albertareef
Definitely sad. Darcy texted the news to me on Saturday during Holly's sale and I forgot to pass it on in all the chaos. Nice that the next generation is picking up the torch to carry on the shop although it has to be rough to lose the founding influence. My condolences to the family and friends he leaves behind.

pledosophy
Very Sad to hear. Woody was the first reefer I met when I moved to PDX. Back before we had a forum and an official club, Woody's place was where we'd all hang out. PNWMAS wouldn't have come to be without his help IMO. Great guy.

JManrow
Woody will not be forgotten, having known him since we first started our first local marine aquarium group back in 1996. Peace be with you my good friend.
The ReefBox
Seahorse was the first store I had ever been too, in fact started my craze into this hobby. He was always friendly and quick to lend encouragement!! RIP Woody, you did this hobby proud. So glad to have known you.
Jeremevans
Definitely will not forget him. His shop was the first I ever stopped foot in back in the early 2000s.
Emerald525
I believe Woody was responsible for supporting a lot of newbies including me. He inspired me as well. He was confined to a wheelchair and was still able to run a fish store. He stopped me when I wanted to put a chocolate chip star in my reef tank and a panther grouper in my 50 gallon tank.
wegotjs
I appreciated that woody tried to keep it simple for all the new Aquarius. He was a little old school but keeping it simple really helps when your learning this hobby.
