He will be missed, that's for sure.
ohhh this is very sad news! He was the first person I went to for advice and it was at his shop and website that I found out about this place...
Ah, sincerest condolences. We lost another good one.. may he be at the great reef in the sky somewhere....
Definitely sad. Darcy texted the news to me on Saturday during Holly's sale and I forgot to pass it on in all the chaos. Nice that the next generation is picking up the torch to carry on the shop although it has to be rough to lose the founding influence. My condolences to the family and friends he leaves behind.
RIP Woody🙁 You will be missed.
Sending our thoughts and prayers for his daughter, and son in law.
Man Woody was an OG. He will be missed
Oh wow! He was a good dude! Rip woody. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Oh thats so sad. I just saw yesterday on 82nd a billboard on the side of a building advertising his store.
RIP Woody... A man with a wealth of knowledge! Very lucky to have have known you. Rest easy, my friend... Sent from my man cave hoping the Dodgers win the World Series
Very Sad to hear. Woody was the first reefer I met when I moved to PDX.
Back before we had a forum and an official club, Woody's place was where we'd all hang out. PNWMAS wouldn't have come to be without his help IMO.
So sad to hear, I only recently heard of this :(
Woody will not be forgotten, having known him since we first started our first local marine aquarium group back in 1996. Peace be with you my good friend.
Seahorse was the first store I had ever been too, in fact started my craze into this hobby. He was always friendly and quick to lend encouragement!! RIP Woody, you did this hobby proud. So glad to have known you.
Definitely will not forget him. His shop was the first I ever stopped foot in back in the early 2000s.
I believe Woody was responsible for supporting a lot of newbies including me. He inspired me as well. He was confined to a wheelchair and was still able to run a fish store. He stopped me when I wanted to put a chocolate chip star in my reef tank and a panther grouper in my 50 gallon tank.
I appreciated that woody tried to keep it simple for all the new Aquarius. He was a little old school but keeping it simple really helps when your learning this hobby.
