N70SJ
Rimmless or Euro-Braced Having a new tank made. Cant decide between:1. Rimless&2. Euro-braced Never had a big tank Rimless.1. Does water slosh over top when cleaning glass with magnet?2. Do the lights glare in your eyes?3. How do you vent all the evaporation?Getting a 96"X36"X 24"to 27". So who likes rimless Who likes eurobracedAnd why? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
nate.hobart.1
Euro braced- I just think it's better. Stronger, less likelihood of things jumping out if you aren't running a canopy or screen top- you can set stuff down on it when doing maintenance...
N70SJ
Thanks Nate. I'm leaning that way. My system will evaporate 15 gallons a day and I want a vented canopy. Euro-braced is stronger and less messy when cleaning. Tank can be taller with same thickness glass than Rimless.
pdxmonkeyboy
The biggest thing with rimless.. you make an absolute mess when you clean the glass. Water is always sloshing out Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I really don't have issues and it's about 3/4" from the top. ...Unless I go crazy with the magnetic scraper. You just have to be slower. KeanuReefs
My mom has a rimless. Its really pretty when everything is clean but fish keep jumping out so where adding a mess and top kinda ruining the rimless look. Go euro brace
caolewis
Rimless sucks when you clean. Got a little 20gal QT and keep spilling all over even I go slow.
danlu_gt
Rimless just have that wow factor visually. Plus, it's easier to reach in to work in the tank (go diving). To clean, I turn off my return pumps which lower the water level. If I was to do it again, I would go euro brace if the top of the tank is above eye level. Also euro brace you get the peace of mind that fish will long jump out as easily as rimless.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
spectra
Rimless or nothing fish only jump once I love my rimless tank and will only go that rout if I ever go bigger. When cleaning I just move the magnet slowly when near the top. 2
RobMBush
I had a euro brace 180 back in the day and it was much more difficult getting rock in and out. Then I had a plastic framed tank and did't really like the look. Now rimless red sea 750xxl and love it. It can be messy when cleaning the glass but you can actually get all the glass clean with a mag cleaner!
503reefland
Eurobraced just seems more practical and still have the sleek look imo.
xmas_one
I think for a larger tank it's more of a question of the room it's going in.
Exodus
While I'm a huge fan of Rimless myself, and cleaning can be done slowly with a quality magnet, I personally would consider Euro-brace based solely on the size of that aquarium. A rimless may in fact be just as sturdy, the extra support of the euro-brace would give me peace of mind.
N70SJ
I prefer rimlessSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
CrabbyCrabs
Rimless. I've got a red sea and no sloshing issues unless you really go to town like a tweaker. Strength I see the point with euro. With the smaller rimless I'm not worried but when you go bigger I just feel uneasy, long term. 1
jtarmitage
Euro braced. Have had both and euro hands down. I dont like having to scrape slowly just to keep the water where it belongs lol, and I prefer the extra strength keeping all that water contained Edited March 29, 2019 by jtarmitage
thetaggeffect
I love the look of rimless, however a braced tank is more practical, especially when you consider some type of canopy or screen to prevent jumpers. One of my favorite tanks ever was my 60g framless Marineland... that thing was a beauty.
