Swampy
Haven't posted a pic in a while. Now that I have gotten back from my business trip. Thought I would post a full picture tank and messed sump area. The new little K2-50 fits very nicely in a Red Sea 170 sump. This leaves plenty of room for some chaeto or other things in the sump. Just need a bit more movement for the chaeto I think. swamp
Swampy
And a closer view of the tank. Working on the algae growth.
Sasquatch
I suggest ditching the sand or fully vacuum clean it to get rid of the algae.
air561
Your Chaeto macro algea will grow faster if you put your light closer to it, especially if it's a fluorescent light. Light intensity decreases by the inverse square law, meaning if the light is closer it gets much much more powerful. Should help fix your micro algea problem. The Chaeto will use up the nutrients the algea in your DT is using to grow. And you can sell your fast growing chaeto back to your LFS.Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
TheClark
Sump fits in there perfect, nice fit! Thanks for the fts.
Swampy
I found a way to drop the light finally. It's ugly and maybe a bit risky but zip ties make good hanging material.
air561
Just make sure the water never touches or submerges the light. Grows like a weed.Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
