Guest Ahbrit
I'm trying to identify an issue a member has when he clicks a thumbnail attachment. Apparently it opens up using his picture viewer instead of another window Let me know if you have the same problem using the poll above If anyone has any advice please add to this thread On my pc it opens up in IE
inkto
Mine treats it as a file download and gives the approapriate dialog box (open, save, etc...). Of course open uses the program I have assigned to the extension. IE6.0.2800.1106
Guest Ahbrit
Thats still a problem though. This forum was built so thumbnails were seamless. Is it dependant of each users windows/IE settings?
pcsdlszr
I use Firefox and mine uses download dialogue and the viewer too. I've half heartedly looked for a way to change that but have yet to find anything.
inkto
I can't find any setting that affects it... Clicking a thumbnail opens another ie window and feeds it the link (ie. http://www.pnwmas.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=124&d=1148540505[/url]) which returns the picture url but it's already treating as a download at that point... On TRT the thumbnails open fine for me (ie http://thereeftank.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=38730&d=1149118859)
Guest Ahbrit
Both those links worked seamlessly for me both opened up with IE in a separate window More investigation needed
Guest Ahbrit
I made a code change i am obviously unable to test it though as it was working for me before Inkto, test it for me would ya?
Nyles
Seem to work fine in IE and firefox
Twitterbait
no problems here, it is dependant on the settings of each seperate persons computer.
inkto
same result... if it's pc dependant than why does it work for me on trt but not here? For those that don't have a problem... what program is associated with .jpg? I'd imagine if I associate .jpg with IE (which is default) there wouldn't be a problem. That makes me think it is in the code here since TRT works fine with my settings.
R-3
Hey Twitter do you know what settings they are? I went through all the settings I could think of last night (probably a lot more though) Im having the same problems. Just wondering. inkto
I'd imagine if I associate .jpg with IE (which is default) there wouldn't be a problem. ...or not... I just associated all jpeg extensions to IE and it still prompted for a file download...clicking open opens it in an IE window, however

JManrow
Thumbnails open as a download, then viewed in Photoshop at the PNWMAS site only. It opens seamlessly at TRT and all other forums.
Chief
I use firefox and before yesterday all thumbnails opened in a "save/open" dialog box, now they open seamlessly. I didn't change a thing. Jay
