Will I be able to create a refugium in this 2 chamber sump

This is the 7 gallon glass sump that is coming with my Aquatop RC24G system.

Is there a way to add a chaeto refugium here?  What about pods?

Here is the view of it in the stand for perspective.  I was thinking I might be able to insert some time of mesh box, if the first chamber?

 

I would welcome any input.

Looks like you may have some room in your first chamber (with the filter sock).  As I am reading that, both your return and your skimmer are picking up from the second chamber which would help. Skimmer seems to return to the first chamber to take advantage of the bubble plates - which should be fine.  Maybe someone else sees something I am missing though.

To be honest with you, I think that first chamber would be an excellent spot to put a regium. The water flow from the overflow will help add some movement to the macro algae. Copepods will come with a refugium, unless there is something to eat them.
