The tank is a huge hit at the school.

They LOVE !!! the snails. Scott got them a conch.

When the conch was out the teacher would tell the kids they needed to get their work done so he could take a nap.

The kids would go to the tank to see and then go back to their desk and get to work Lol

Sometimes when a child from a different classroom is having a rough time the teachers will send them to look at the tank .

Mrs Harkins children will tell them all about the tank

This is such an awesome program. I love going to the school and talking to the kids and seeing the awwww on their faces

Plus it brings back memories because my kids went there.

Great to see this! How cute that they are so interested in the snails. :)

I'm somewhat ashamed to say, I don't think I'd have been so selfless with a tank win like that!  How wonderful for the kids that we have such generous people as Scott around.  :applause:  You, too, Karen!  Time and money well spent.  :agree:

I'm excited to see the tank progress!

Well 20 bucks worth of food donated and I win a tank that I already have.........Good to see the kids enjoy it and glad to help out.......Lights were a great thing as KK said they were donated by someone I do not even know off of Nano Reefs. I just put feelers out and someone answered the call. Keep posting up pictures as the tank progresses.

A new school year and new students at McBride this a 3 grade classroom so some students remain.

The tank went thru a rough patch. I wasn’t doing water changes enough and the light was set for to long and to intense. We are back on track. I did add a small yellow tang to eat hair algae. The kids know he is just visiting. When new fish are added I do it during class time and the kids love helping a acclimate. If there are 8 kids the fish gets really acclimated, because  I let each kid add a scoop  of water.

I asked the teachers to write an update on the kids daily reactions to the tank. During writing time she had the kids write letter !!!

They are so precious
