Zwickm
Plumbing virtually complete! Ended up slightly different than my initial blue print but still works just as intended. Passed the water test today! Will be running it for a couple days to make sure there are no leaks in the plumping. Next, I'll be wiring the canopy with 4 x T5s and 3 x Hydra 26s. Frank
I ran 2 hydra 26s on a 30 deep tank and it wasn't a problem at all.

TheClark
How do you like the calcium reactor?
Zwickm
Thank you Jorge and Jeramy! Appreciate the kind words. TheClark - I've been using the AquaMaxx Star S-1 for about 8 months and love it. Haven't had any problems, it's well built and keeps consistent levels. I did add a secondary chamber which I'm sure has helped. Just went with a GEO UMC420 Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
Zwickm
I ran 2 hydra 26s on a 30 deep tank and it wasn't a problem at all.Glad to hear that! I hope the 3x Hydra 26s and 4x t5 provide enough quality light. I figure the LEDs will penetrate to the bottom better than the t5. I wanted the bottom to be much lower light than the upper part so I can have a variety of levels for my corals. Zwickm
Finished installing the support posts tonight! May not have been necessary but I didn't want to take any chances... Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
Zwickm
Canopy about done. Just need to add the two remaining Hydra 26s (will be a total of 3) once I break down my current tank as they're in use right now. Excited about the LED/t5 combo! Zwickm
Big weekend of setting up the new tank, finally!! It's taken months but will be well worth the wait. Everything has been moved to a large holding tote so I guess I'm committed to doing this! 120lbs of substrate. Zwickm
Thanks guys! The floor supports are from home Depot, tiger brand. Each supports 10,000-18,000 lbs so just to be safe, I used 3 lol! Always good to play it safe. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk

Zwickm
An AI prime as a sump light?!Yep! Wanted to be able to adjust spectrum and intensity plus have control of it through my phone. Going to grow mangroves in the refugium. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
spectra
Looking great and love all the attention to the small details! Love the prime as a fuge light. I ran one also and loved it for the same reason on the control aspect. Looking forward to seeing the big reveal.
Zwickm
Boom! There it is. Almost touches the ceiling. Have not finished the rock work yet. Going to be connecting the two structures together with a tall arch to fill in the upper space a bit. Also, the corals are sitting around on the sandbed. It will open up nicely once it's all done. Zwickm
Everything survived the transfer! I'm also loving the new Red Sea Coral Pro salt! Was using Kent before. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
Zwickm
Great polyp extension in the new tank. Switched to red sea coral pro which has been working out incredibly well for me so far. Levels have been completely stable since day 1. Crowding together for a photo shoot. Few corals I still need to place somewhere. The control station! Zwickm
Almost 4 weeks in and there is already coraline and various filter feeders growing on the glass. Have had no major algea, just minor diatom blooms which the cleaner crew take care of. I'm a terrible photographer, these are all cell pics. Jedi mind trick monti entrusting well.
