Jeramy
Howdy Folks I was thinking I would like to get a pistol shrimp and a watchman goby for my new tank when I set it up but I already have a Starry Blenny and am concerned about the watchman and my starry being aggressive towards one another. Any one have experiences with these or similar fish and how they reacted. I had a watchman goby show extreme aggression to a mandarin in a 75g tank I had so am a little cautious. Thanks
earthbound
I have that same combo in my 15g column tank and they all but ignore each other. Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk
Mandinga
Pistols are really just a PIA. Frag stealers...not to mention you never see them...
dlp6899
I have had my watchman goby and pistol shrimp in a 24 gallon for 6 years and they have never bothered any fish I have put in there. I have had a starry blenny and a bicolor blenny in the past. The most aggressive the watchman goby gets is opening his mouth wide when someone gets to close to his hole. Make sure your rock work is stable, the pistol shrimp will dig all the sand out from under the rocks on a daily basis.
badxgillen
You should be golden with a watchmen and a starry. And for the record I love my pistol shrimps, so much fun. I will give you that though Isaac, they can snag some pricey merchandise from time to time.
Jeramy
That is OK I do not deal in fancy expensive corals. I absolutely love my watchman pistol combo. I also like to place my rocks on bottom and add sand around them for max stability =)
pledosophy
IME it depends on the species of watchmen goby, the yellow being the most docile and the pink spotted being the most aggressive.
