Filtration For AIO

Exodus

Recommended Posts

Hey there,

So for my new Tank upgrade I'm wanting to have all my basis covered in this build, therefore I have my list but Just wanted to see if anyone else has any additional ideas or other suggestions. So far this is what Im working with for the filtration aspect.

- inTank Floss Holder

(remove detritus out of the water with filter floss, though was hoping there might be something more denser like a filter sock type pad to put in there)

- Cheato Macro Algae

(used for sucking up the Nitrates, would flow directly through after going through the floss holder)

- Cad Lights PLS- 50 Elite Skimmer

(Used for removing excess Nutrients obviously)

- BRS Dual GFO/Carbon Reactor w/Cobalt 1200 pump

(For removing phosphates and Organics

The pumps in the system for flow is the stock ones as I mostly like LPS, though I will be doing a Frag Island for SPS in which I will have the Vortech MP10 directly aimed at so the water with the 3 pumps and powerhead should be circulating well with no dead zones.

Anything else anyone can think of? Also just wondering with 30Gallons & a filtration system like this how much would water would you change monthly/weekly/bi weekly etc.?

Thanks for reading, just trying to do this right from the start.
