rworegon
What kind of skimmer is it? How long has it been running? Some skimmers will stop discharging microbubbles after breaking in, usually a week or two. Another option would be to get a cone type screen to put in the wet side of the bulkhead where the intake of your pump is. Then put a foam prefilter on it. That would break up most of any bubbles as well.
ReefNoobie
Not sure exactly but its a corallife I know that. Its got a Rio 1700 pump pushing it. I haven't started the cycle process yet, that will begin on Wednesday. It being only saltwater and no bacteria, will that cause it to push out more than normal bubbles. It is a used skimmer, just hasn't been used in a while. I cleaned it up real good so the bubbles are just being sucked out, and not creating a bubble mountain for the skimmer to actually start to work. Any input on the wet/dry converting to refugium would be awesome as well! I need the passageways to stop the bubbles that a wet dry doesn't really have and I would really like a refugium, just don't have a whole lot of room. The one I got now is 20" long. Thanks in advance!!! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
kriz2fer
I hope you don't like money. Owning a reef tank is like throwing a pile of money in a bowl and lighting it on fire. But I'm sure you'll enjoy your new tank. Lots of fun.
ReefNoobie
Money is over rated! I need a hobby or I'm gonna drink myself to death out of boredom, I've always wanted a reef tank so I figured it would be fun!
