Hopefully the larger area will increase the fish populations in the area and not affect the fisherman to much. What do you think?
matty
The more natural area's that are protected, the better.
Blackice
I 100% agree I would give up all my fish and coral if they where all protected in the ocean from all the stupid @&$! That we humans do to the reef all to make money....
Derbird
I love it. The areas of the ocean that are protected are pathetic to say the least. We need to expand the reserves and create new ones to stop, or at least slow, the over exploitation of the seas. I can handle paying 4% more for a can of tuna. Of course a political move, everything they do is political. .lol But yes we do need some help keeping certain area off limits or we won't have anymore. We don't have any way to protect this area. It will be another mess, like the National Park Service, or Veteran Affairs.
Mandinga
George Bush created this monument in 2008. Still...it's a good move to expand the area of protection.
