CoralCrazy
So the tank is still in the truck so no pictures tonight. But I figured I should start a thread since we really haven't done a true build thread. I picked up a 180g tank today for $100. It's 24x24x72 and needs the center brace redone. So over the next few days I'm going to get it cleaned up and mike will get the brace put back in place. It has dual overflow boxes and the returns are already drilled. I'm going to be breaking down our 5ft 90g and moving the small frag tank over to make room for my new to me tank. We have a 110g and a 40g plumbed into a 75g sump with the 90 already. So it will be taking down the 90 and plumbing the 180 into the system. Hopefully this will make it a smoother swap. Also adding a calcium reactor at the same time. I plan on moving all fish and corals to the 110 during the swap so hopefully I don't lose anything. When mike put the system in he put in shut off valves on every tank so we can shut the 90 down and still keep the other tanks running. I will take pictures and post as we go through the upgrade. The calcium reactor is a koralin. We bought a new valve and ph probe for it today and filled it with new crushed coral.

Blackhand
thats awesome this will be fun to watch any different plans with this 180 or keeping the same theme as the
CoralCrazy
Going to take all the softies out. Have to keep the nems but wanting to give the carpet a large area to take over. Going to do the rock work a little different so I have more sand bed and to give the tangs more room to run.

CoralCrazy
My plan is to have this big boy clean and in place by the end of the month. As soon as I get it cleaned up Mike will step in and put the middle brace back into place. We will let it sit outside with water in it for a week to make sure everything holds. Would hate to have a blow out in the house.
