JHiestand
Hey everyone, So I have been messing around with some types of metal art recently and decided I would see if anyone would be interested. I have been doing sign work and custom keychains. If you can imagine it, I can draw it and get it on metal. If anyone knows of a company that may be interested please PM me. There will be a slight comission for sending work my way. Thanks.
pnkrcklives
Very nice work. What are you using to cut the lettering it is so clean. I may have to contract you to build a sign for my home shop. I will Pass the word to a couple buddies I know with Hotrod shops
JHiestand
It's done on a laser that has a 5ft x 10ft table. Thanks.
JHiestand
I can also do suspension parts and other things like that for hot rods.

pnkrcklives
I can also do suspension parts and other things like that for hot rods. I will for sure be contatcting you then. I need some pieces cut for the step notch I am doing in a truck. And also some gusset plates for steel fish tank stands. Can you cut 3/16" plate?? JHiestand
Yeah I can go up to 1" steel, 1/2" stainless, and 3/8" aluminum.
Arminius
Cool machine you're working with there.
JHiestand
I have even cut some 3/4 and 1" thick acrylic. Looks super nice, but has a slight taper to it.
Arminius
I expected that result with acrylic - tablesaw/router for low melting point materials. Custom aluminum light racks/hanging systems would be an easily marketable reeftank item, as well as custom LED housings, vent fan covers... JHiestand
Yeah I am open to anything... Too much competition for the light racks, with the overseas companies making them there is not a lot of room for profit. I have been looking into doing something with LEDs. Fan covers are no problem at all, along with ballast boxes and similar items.
JHiestand
Here is what the keychains look like after a 3 stage tumbling process. Almost polished look to them.
Kasasah
How much is that last ducks keychain? Sent from Samsung Galaxy SII
JHiestand
Most keychains, including the ducks one, start at $6 and price goes down considerably based on quantity. I have a license to sell the ducks stuff so they can also go into retail locations. I also have a NCAA license for most of the other teams, there are a few like the ducks that require separate licensing.
madmike
How much would it cost to have a few hundred holes put in a piece of acrylic? Putting together a frag tank and hate the idea of hand drilling several hundred holes in the acrylic!
JHiestand
It would have to be a flat piece. I can't cut an assembled tank. If it was flat, I would say about $
madmike
Yes it would be prior to assembly. I'll hit you up when I start to build it, thanks Mike

JHiestand
More Options Here are some more things that can be done. I have hundreds of animals, flowers, trees...etc. I can put whatever you want onto a coat rack... I think I even have a bunch of saltwater fish drawn up. I can also have anything powder coated. I have done a few dog tags also. As you can see I have done alot of tattoo stuff. I am open to trade offers as well as cash.

JHiestand
What is the size of your oven? I need to Find a powder coater to do my fish tanks stands. It's 20ft deep, probably enough room for 4-5 stands at a time.
