Jeffreyg
I'm running an old school dual pfo ballast the magnetic one my question is yesterday I noticed it was dimmer than usual sounds like a lame question but has anybody seen this happen before they die . I have a hqi ballast I just wanted to run this till it went out that and if it ain't broke don't fix it . I also added a led panel to supplement some blue and my nem that went lt is back to having nice bulbs . I'm assuming more light .
wanareef
Could be the bulbs, how old are they?
Blue Z Reef
They seem to get slowly dimmer as they get up there in age (the bulbs that is). All I've ever noticed is one flickering for a minute or two then the bulb burnt out (was old...like 10-12 months). I doubt the ballast is having issues, these pfo ballasts are tanks. Jeffreyg
I tried three differnt ones two Hamilton 14k and a no name 14k for fun I have three brand new radiums I tried one of those as well . I don't know I guess I'll fire up the hqi and see if its just me . I was using radiums on the same ballast I know it under drives them but the did fire up but me reliable on a timer . Maybe the conflict wore it out
