siskiou
I have three aqualifter pumps that I use for top-off, and all three used to run at a steady stream. They are about a year old, and all of them have slowed down to a crawl, meaning about a drop every 3 seconds, or somesuch. The airline connected to them is free and clear, and the line is well submerged. Any ideas? Do these wear out fairly quickly? -Susanne
powdertang05
im assuming the bladder that is used as the main source of move ment has wore out or is too stiff, mostlikly youll need to buy a new one.
impur
Did you try running some vinegar thru them?
siskiou
No vinegar, yet. I've only used them for RO/DI water, so I didn't think it would be necessary, but maybe I'll give it a try. I also found that they sell replacement diaphragms for the aqualifter online, so if the vinegar doesn't work I'll get those. Much cheaper than a new pump.
