Jeramy
Are there any truely reef safe dwarf or pygmy angel fish? I have always wanted to have one of these but dont want it picking at my LPS? or eating my zoas! It seems that all of them are listed as questionable is one better then the rest? Thanks for the Help =)
MVPaquatics
Genicanthus genus is considered reef safe. Centropyge are the dwarfs and are hit and miss
Kimberlee
Had a coral beauty who was well behaved and I've read more good stories about them than bad.
ClayTheSavageFraser
I've seen some crazy Angelfish in a Reef tank, I think if your reef is mixed up enough. Ask Jody from TECO. I haven't been brave enough to try it though. Shoots Jody even had a trigger in there!
lewisriverfisherman
I had a Coral Beauty that did really well in my reef, the Flame Angels go either way some are good and some are bad(not worth tearing your tank apart when it doesnt work out well....check out the Bellus Angel or the Watanabei Angel. NoobtoSalt
I've had a few coral beauties over the past few years. It's hit and miss even with them. I had one that was a model citizen in the tank and the other one would pick at my acans and zoas occasionally. They were big enough colonies I wasn't worried about it though. impur
My potters picks at about 3 or 4 colonies I have, but not very often. If i feed her 2-3 times a day, she leaves all corals alone. Luckily the one she nips at are all real hardy and don't seem to mind. If you have a good variety of corals you should be ok IMO.
madmike
I've got a few angels in my tank It can be done if there is enough room and you don't mind them picking... most angels will just nip at corals, not really hurting them.
batchelor
I had a multi color in my 150 mixed reef. He was great for a couple months and then took a liking too my sps corals. He did a lot of damage really fast.
