frankb
I bought carbon pellets from BRS and replaced my old ones in the canister filter. Somehow, I did not realized that more than half of the carbon pellets (ROX 0.8) spilled into my displayed tank. What should I do? Will it kill the fish or corals? Thanks
Mitchell
I would not be concerned. Probably the biggest problem is just the looks of the carbon in your display and you should be able to siphon most of that out over time. frankb
Thanks. I just panicked and everything now seems to be fine. Running the carbon really makes a big difference in the tank. I did not realize that it needs to be changed in every couple of weeks until I read from one of the posts in the forum. I ordered through BRS and the carbon pellets are very small compared to the one that I used to have.
tanktop74
I have had them spill in my biocube (29 gal) tank and there is still a some on the sand bed, doesn't hurt a thing!
Burningbaal
carbon basically can't hurt biology except physical damage...and that would be something like if you ate it or rubbed it on your skin (physical scratches). the tank will be fine.just as the others have said, you may not like the looks, but it'll be just fine
