cellowithgills
Very nice. I just wish it didn't have to compete with stupid bryopsis(flame)(flame)(flame)(flame)

Mohaynow
kent tech-m works wonders, I had a bryopsis outbreak a few months ago and started dosing tech-m and like mandinga stated, it melted away.
cellowithgills
My mag is at 1600, and still no sign of it going away. I use BRS chloride and sulfate. I've tried everything I can, I've been pulling out rocks and drying the out to get rid of it.
Mohaynow
theres something in the kent tech-m that kills the bryopsis, its not just the high mag levels
impur
Yah its specific to Tech-M, raising your mag with other brands doesn't affect the bryopsis like Tech-M

coralreefer
1) Magnesium needs to hit 1800 2) If I remember rightly, Kent tech M is magnesium sulfate and I remember reading that it is thought that the sulfate is doing the bryopsis damage, not the magnesium... 3) Maybe try raising magnesium to 1800 with BRS mag sulfate only... Mohaynow
other magnesium sulfate products do not work like tech-m does, there is some impurity in it that kills the bryopsis. for regular magnesium dosing use the brs stuff, it works just fine. but if you are raising it solely to remove bryopsis then use kent tech-m, its the only one that works that way as quick as it does EDIT http://www.pnwmas.org/forums/showthread.php?27860-WTB-Kent-Tech-M&highlight=tech-m
DennisW
It's probably whatever the agent is that makes the Tech-M "time released". Dennis
