Thanks Roy! Awesome tank. Wish I had 250 watt radiums now (:

I got some of the pics done. They look real dark today but the monitor is in front of a sunny window so who knows. Won't work on them again til night but could put some up now that are done. They look different on every computer, dull on the mac and vibrant on the PC. Ugh. Time to calibrate monitors.

Usually I put them on flickr or photobucket first, and will label them. You want your name as Stylaster or your real name? Am also assuming that if they are out there with your name on them that you will want the names of the chalices on the pics too.

So which thread should the pics be on this or the other?

Kate

Do not know the name of this chalice. I love how many different things are growing on his rocks, everywhere you look there were polyps of something.

Another amazing chalice:

An interesting encrusting coral, do not know the name of it:

Here is something you don't see every day. And a word you don't see every day too: totipotent. Seemingly dead skeletal remains of LPS have totipotent cells in them that can generate new heads. We expect this out of hammers and frogspawn, but plate coral skeletons can also do this, as this one has:

Eventually these buds form a complete plate coral and drop off:

Message there is don't toss a dead plate. Unless you really nuked it (:

Roy said this gorgonian was from Shaun Monahan... would also love to get one.

That is all for now. Room is too bright to look at pictures accurately.
