andy
Why close the Global Warming thread? It wasn't hot, or terribly personal (kudos to all for keeping it flame free, clearly an emotional topic) and seemed to get closed at a pretty arbitrary point... H20cooled
Because of complaints about it getting insulting.
andy
That's unfortunate
H20cooled
Personally I had no problem with it, but I had warned once before that if it continued to get insulting and personal it would be closed. So after receiving a complaint from another member about feeling insulted I choose to close it.
reefgeek84
I understand that you had to close Rich...but people need to not be so sensitive.

andy
Thanks, I have more to say and it'd kill me to not have a chance at the last word (laugh)
H20cooled
LOL, yeah I figured I would give everyone a last chance. I really hate to close a thread but after complaints its a little hard to avoid it. We'll see how it goes...
andy
I understand, forum moderation is a tough job -- I'll just toss out my opinion that if the complaints are coming from places other than the thread participants, those folks would be better served by just not reading the thread. Of course, if a thread participant feels that things have gone non-linear it's probably time to put a virtual fork in it.
