oldbrownies
I'm thinking about new lights so I can get this second tank all up and running as a reef, I'm thinking about one of these 48 inch AB "sexy lights" (not sex lights). http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod_Display.cfm?pcatid=14706&N=2004+113352 Has anyone here used em? any thoughts on them? I like that this fixture will produce almost as high Par as my 2x400 watt MH at a lower wattage. and it's pretty
Michael7979
Pretty, yes. But kinda spendy. Why not go used/retro?
oldbrownies
I've always done used and retro stuff, I want something pretty to look at on the new tank. Its going to be in the only room in my house thats actually finished and the way I want it, so I want it to look as good as the rest of the room. BTW, I just got a shipment of the most amazing solomon rock from thatpetplace.com, best rock I've ever seen! no rubble just great rock. oldbrownies
oh, and I'm not using a hood on this tank, I want to be able to look down into it at the clams and things
izzypop
For a sexy modern sweet setup go with the Italian Sfiligoi Lighting. They look awesome on an open top. I'm doing a 3 foot cube for a relative and that is what we decided for pure looks alone.
Piero
I'd question the efficiency/effectiveness of the reflectors on that too. Different reflectors can make a huge difference in output i think. like the look though.
