stylaster
After toasting most of my SPS, my tank is going through a change and is becoming a LPS dominated system. Here's some pics of where it's at currently in the progression

Saltfinsax
Them pics I am sure are not doing justice for them chalice's. I know of a few of them in there that have tons of color and look to be getting huge. I am sure its hard to not see all them colored sticks though. stylaster
ya i do miss the sticks, im going to get montis back, love them too much to totally quite those. Down side to the chalices you do have to get close up shots to see the colors well. Thanks guys for compliments!
lewisriverfisherman
That Oregon Mummy Eye sure shows up well in those pic's. Love the Toad stool is it a Tyree? I will get you those montis soon very soon.
stylaster
ya the ome is so bright it tends to over expose, so do the orange chalices. Toadstool isn't tyree, but it does have nice green polyps and they are about 2" long! I do have the tyree one also, but it's just a baby and has darker green polyps
Emerald525
Sweet colonies Roy!
stylaster
Thanks, last time you guys saw the tank, i think most of the chalices where about half that size. I know the emerald mummy eye is huge, over 5" across now
h2odvl
looks really good i hope to have a tank that nice someday
Smann
Looks good Roy, just wondering, looks like you still have your plates, birds nest and some monti's, I've talked to another member like myself that lost mostly all Acro's but those other sps were not affected, is that the same in your tank?
stylaster
i lost almost all my acros, the red planet survived. The montis, i did loose a couple of them, the birdsnest, most of those died half way or more, so i pulled them out (large colonies took up lots of space) I have frags of those birdsnests im regrowing again in my garage system. Gill
I love your tank!!! Is that an elephant skin under the giant toadstool?
impur
Looking good Roy! Are you gonna let stuff grow into each other and let em battle it out?
stylaster
i think that would be cool to do that miles. Couple of the chalices already have with no ill effects, but if one does sting another, then ill move them
stylaster
I love your tank!!! Is that an elephant skin under the giant toadstool? ya it is, but there is not much of it left, about 3/4 of it died when the sps went
Gill
ya it is' date=' but there is not much of it left, about 3/4 of it died when the sps went[/quote'] That is a bummer :-( Hopefully it will come back for you. Did you ever pin point the cause of the crash?
stylaster
im leaning toward an alk crash, i did notice some sps with burnt tips, my old alk test kit and new one both measured in the right range, but it might have been too late by then
