I know one is epson salt and I don't know the other one but I could look it up. I was wondering if anyone has made there own before or what else could take the place Magnesium . I was just asking because If i can make my own and its easy why not and what else is out there ??
reef165
I dont know, I would suggest just going to a LFS and getting some.
Emerald525
Jose, I wouldn't risk it. Magnesium is fairly cheap compared to the risk of your expensive corals. If you are running a calcium reactor you can get neomag which is 20 dollars for a bag and lasts forever.

lewisriverfisherman
I have heard of it being made before but i cant seem to recall where from. i looked around and found this.http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-07/rhf/index.php there is a DIY section. I would still do a little more research.
markdadof2
I'm thinking I want to try some NeoMag in my Ca reactor - does anyone know who in town has some on the shelf?
Smann
I got NeoMag at Upscales, he should have it in stock. Might use a little less then reccomended (like most stuff) my mag runs higher than I would like, around 1350+
stylaster
i got my neomag from tim at westside, ive also been dosing the bulk reef supply mg, which is magnesium chloride and magnesium sulfide
Harold B
I have yet to try the Mg in the Ca reactor. I'd be interested to know how much can be supplemented in this way. Anything that makes for less dosing/more stable is good IMO.
