Are you going to be able to go to the game Miles? Very exciting...

Nah, average price for tix is now up to $4000. Yesterday on ebay two 100 level endzone seats sold for $12100. This NCG is bigger than any Super Bowl ever, can you believe that? Just crazy.

I am going! :) :) :)

I hate you (laugh) Have a great time and snap lots of pics for me please!?!?!?!

I'm a stat nerd so I was compiling stats to talk over this weekend with some buddies:

Strength of schedule (Sagarin)

Oregon - 19

Auburn - 15

Total offense (NCAA records)

Oregon - 1st - 6450 yards - 537.50/game

Auburn - 7th - 6470 yards - 497.69/game

Rushing offense

Oregon - 4th - 303.83/game

Auburn - 5th - 287.15/game

Passing offense

Oregon - 49th - 233.67/game

Auburn - 67th - 210.54/game

Scoring offense

Oregon - 1st - 49.33/game

Auburn - 4th - 42.69/game

Total Defense

Oregon - 25th - 331.58/game

Auburn - 55th - 362.15/game

Rush Defense

Oregon - 16th - 117.58/game

Auburn - 10th - 111.69/game

Passing Defense

Oregon - 51st - 214.00/game

Auburn - 106th - 250.46/game

Scoring Defense

Oregon - 13th - 18.42/game

Auburn - 54th - 24.46/game

Probably the most telling stat for these two teams, because of they both run the no huddle spread at a quick pace, is defensive yards per play allowed.

Oregon allows 4.53 yards per play on defense

Auburn allows 5.28 yards per play on defense

A few more stats

CATEGORY......... OREGON RANK......AUBURN RANK

TACKLES FOR LOSS......8th................25th

3RD DOWN DEFENSE.....10th..............41st

4TH DOWN DEFENSE.....4th................45th

1ST DOWNS ALLOWED...51st..............85th

PASS EFF DEFENSE........6th...............75th

SACKS........................19th..............22nd

I know Auburn is all but guaranteed the trophy, but these stats say it might be a little tougher than everyone thinks!

GO DUCKS!!! WTD!!!

Personally, I'm rootin for Auburn, just so I can see the look on Mile's face when the ducks get beat down.

Don't watch football period, but since I apparently have to pick someone to root for, I'm gonna have to pick the team that Miles' is rootin against.

Thanks buddy!! (wife)

Here's another stat I found interesting. It was on espn.com's college football site. I could not not cut & paste the graphic but it said Average score had Auburn winning 37.6% & Oregon winning 36.4% when your running the game 10,000 times that's a close game! http://espn.go.com/ncf/preview?gameId=310100002

"AccuScore has powered more than 10,000 simulations for every College Football game on ESPN.com, calculating how each team's performance changes in response to game conditions and opponent's abilities. Each game is simulated and the game is replayed a minimum of 10,000 times to generate forecasted winning percentages."

I just listned to all of your links. I have heard two of them and the other two were new to me. I really appreciate you posting thous. Getting me even more jacked for the game. Super upset I can't go. I got to go to the Rose bowl last year but when tickets are over 4 times as much money I could not swing it this year. Spent way to much money on this hobby you guys all might know about called reefing. (rock2) Don't worry about a thing either the SEC is way overrated!!
