NoobtoSalt
Welcome. You can use pretty much anything for base rock. How long are you planning on cycling the tank before you add anything to it? Or I guess the question is how long has the tank been up? gradth
Welcome. This is a great place for info. Also check out reefcentral.com. Lots of info there as well. If your looking for good rock check out http://www.marcorocks.com/. Great looking rock at good prices.
jackaninny
Welcome. Local sponsor Rose City Aquarium had some 50 lb boxes of dry rock for a decent price not too long ago. Add another 10-20 lbs live rock to that to seed the dry rock and you would be set. It looks like Rose City is now open on Mondays so you can get that today!
