Gill
I saw this guy last night and after I snapped a pic I thought it would be fun to start a thread of critters that come out when the lights go off. POST YOUR LIGHTS OUT PICS HERE

CA2OR
Re: Things that go bump in the night... A lot happens at night in my tank....but one of the most noticable is my shrimp and this guy in the picture below. I have never seen my peppermint, skunk cleaner, or this dude out when lights on.....till today....but as soon as lights turn off they come out and stay out all night. Michael7979
You might not see the shrimp out because they know the eel is around.
CA2OR
it's the wrasse that keeps the shrimp at bay.....between the wrasse and the purple tang they have killed a total of 9 shrimp now....6 cleanershrimp at the tangs doing.....wrasse took out all 3 of the peppermints
Michael7979
Yeah a wrasse would be predator #1, but an eel can poke around in the LR like a wrasse can't. Still think that is way the shrimp are hiding during the day.
snowpunk
Better question. When did you get the eel? I didn't know you got one, personally I think they are a great reef eel. Gill that first shot is really cool BTW...
