Guest Ahbrit
i'm investigating a case right now
Brad
I went to the little store by my house the other day looking for some brew and in addition to the six pack, half-rack and case they had...wait for it...the Family Pack...a box of 20 beers. Priceless. It was Bud Light.
Palani
Did you guys try the new Henry's Summer Ale? I just had one today and it tastes just like an orange.
Brad
Like an orange? No, I most certainly did not.
Michael7979
Yeah I noticed that the 'new' thing this summer in ales is to have orange or lemon flavors in them. I'm a little afraid to try some of them honestly. PS family pack (drinking) DOH!
DChemist
Yeah I noticed that the 'new' thing this summer in ales is to have orange or lemon flavors in them. I'm a little afraid to try some of them honestly. 'New' thing? Remember Saxer's Lemon Lager?
Lowman
I still have a sixer of the lemon lager, you can find it occasionally. The henry's ale hase coriander (cilantro) in it too, my wife likes it, I like the micro brews better, namely rogue ales. I just bought a case of 22 ouncers at the brewery. Sharktooth baby. Michael7979
I like Dead Guy and the wife likes the Hazelnut Brown Nectar. Everyone now is putting citrus in their SUMMER microbrews.
Lowman
Yeah, I personally want to have the option of putting anything in my brew myself.
R-3
My buddy Mark, Oscar, and I drank 1 half gallon and 1 1/5th of tequila last night in some Magaritas. My blender got a workout. See ya all today, Im feelling great! Later Ryan
impur
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm beer. If its on sale i grab the sunshine ale from New Belgium. Rogue is great, everytime i'm in newport i stop by.
Michael7979
Miles is that Sunshine Ale any good? I like the Fat Tire and I have wanted to try it but never bought it. I'm not big on their Bres de Mairs. (think I spelled it close to right)
impur
Yah its real good IMO. Fat tire and Sunshine are the only ones i like by them. Rogue has a good citrus beer too. They make it here in Eugene at the Eugene City Brewery i think. Its called Honey Orange Wheat. Very good stuff.
Michael7979
I think I tried that one and I didn't like it. The only fruity, citrusy beer that I have found that I like is 'Ruby' and its at McMenimans.
impur
Yah that ones good, if its still cold by the time they get off their asses and bring it to you.
Lowman
My wife likes the orange honey beer. I thought is was just okay, I also like the Macpelican Scottish style ale from Pelican and some of the Siletz Brewery beers are good too
Michael7979
Yeah Siletz makes some good ones . Wolly Bully and Oatmael Stout.
rude944
I'm in a different boat here. I've been into Guinness as of late. Nothing better then a bottle of chocolate milk with the little "make more foam" floaty thing inside. If you ever go to a McMennamins, do have an Irish stout. It's their equivelent and it's on nitro. IMO, the best thing that has ever happened to beer is nitro. Yummy, creamsicle
impur
I agree, nitro rocks.
Michael7979
Boddingtons has that floaty thing too. Did not really like it thou.
impur
Your not supposed to eat it!! LOL
spayne
Are you guys still talking about beer? Man! laugh I'm really surprised Jay isn't on here. Beer and red wine... loves the stuff! Me, I'm more of a Crown Royal on the rocks girl. Nothing better than a nice, smooth whiskey for me! But if I do drink beer, I tend to go for the pale ales and things like that. Ambers. Jay and I went to a brew pub in, I think it was Albany, and had some kind of jalapeno beer. Which was rather interesting! Couldn't drink mass quantities of it though, the flavor would become overbearing. What are you guys talking about? A floaty thing that adds foam? You're not slipping unsuspecting brewery patrons roofies, are you? I guess one of these days after a meeting we all need to go to a brewery for the first official meeting of the "Majano Brigade" (R2 has good stories about an offshoot drinking club from a freshwater group... I think that was the "Slug Club"). Then you guys can point out some fine brews to me! Stacy
R-3
Hey Stacey the "jalepeno" beer you are talking about is called the Oregun Trader Green Chili Beer. Yeah a little much to drink in quantities, even though I know some people that drink it by the pitcher. The real good beers at the Trader are the Russian Imperial Oatmeal Stout, Nutty Brown and Highlander Red Scotch Ale. Later Ryan
