Gill Posted May 2, 2010 Share Posted May 2, 2010 So i just went to fill my new tank and... My python filter was left with water in it and now its mildewed? dirty? moldy? black! After that discription my question will probably seem crazy but, can i use it? I ran hot water through it in an ettempt to clean it out but it's still black in spots. 7Max-GTE Posted May 2, 2010 Share Posted May 2, 2010 Hook it up to a powerhead, coil it in a bucket, fill the bucket with 1 cup bleach 5 gallons water, run for an hour, then let air dry for a day and you should be totally safe.
