nyoder23
So what is a good product to use to clean a dry glass aquarium tank that has all the hard water residue left over? And it wont hurt the fish after being filled up?
dsoz
Vinegar on a paper towel, then baking soda afterwards. Rince well then let dry to see your progress. Both vinegar and baking soda are common things that people add to tanks. If the vinegar does not do the trick, try it again but lay the tank on the side (do this outside) and pour the vinegar on the hard water stains. Let it sit for a couple of hours then turn the tank so a different side is down and the vinegar sits on it for a couple of hours... Repeat for the other sides. If that does not work, send me a PM and I will tell you how to pull out the big guns and use muriatic acid (AKA hydrochloric acid). It muriatic does not work, nothing will. Rick
I've used vinegar several times and it works well along with a scrub pad (white scotchbrite pad). I just wash it out good with water afterwards.
