aguess
So I was away for a week on a business trip, and had a co-worker feed my fish. He took care of them well, but this nasty brown/green poop-slime algae has taken over my 14g nano cube tank. It's all over the back and rocks, and seems to be sticking to coral polyps as well, looks pretty stringy and slimy. Almost like a thick fuzz Here's a few pics. Anyone familiar with this snot? Mandinga
looks to me like dinoflagellates link increasing nitrates seem to be the trick with Dino's...there is a way to test if it is in fact dino's or not...maybe someone else will chime in.

ciao
I thought dinoF had bubbles attached to them as well? Couldn't make out any bubbles in the pictures. Oddly(and probably luckily) enough, when I had my dinoF problem(and Cyano) none of it ever reached the rocks(knock on wood). It just stayed on the sand and anything else on the sand that wasn't a coral
Mandinga
There is a test you can do to make sure they are dinos...it has something to do with turning off the current in the tank and observing...search RC.
