Emerald525
I saw R-3's thread about his name and thought wouldn't it be nice to know what everyone was thinking (or not thinking) when they came up with their screen name. Some of us (me) didn't really think it through and simply used their old yahoo chatline name not realizing I could have probably gotten away without using the 525. My screen name Emerald525. Emerald is my birthstone and May 25th is my birthday. It has nothing to do with "Emeril" the loud obnoxious cooking guy!
reefnjunkie
I think my screen name speaks for itself-for anyone who knows my "shopping" patterns, or reefing habits-(nutty)

AquaticEngineer
"Aquatic Engineer" sounded better on my resume than "Fish Jockey" (laugh) It was a joke from when I worked at a Pet Store in Eugene, we used to try and come up with more important sounding titles for ourselves. Things like "Saltwater Waste Management Specialist" (when we cleaned the skimmers(laugh) )

Only job I ever walk out on-emptied the trash and kept walking-such a rebel at 15 years old

newfisher
I figured "newfisher" sounded better than new-bee. Its also Latin for " he who dives in head first and has 4 tanks in 8 months".
gradth
Sadly mine has nothing to do with fish. Been a pc gamer for a long time, and Gradth is just a name I made up for gaming. It was original so I kept it for pretty much everything.
Emerald525
Does Gradth mean anything? Nice tank thread by the way very cool! I had not seen it before. I would never be able to reach it!

tanktop74
Tanktop74... 74 for the year I was born... and Tanktop because one day I was in the back seat of a van that was equipped with a CB (wearing a tanktop) and we heard a trucker that was behind us radio out if anyone has seen the chick in the tanktop... therefore it quickly became my nick name and has stuck for over 15 years. Algae
My name is easy. Sometimes benificial & sometimes irritating. I'm with Ryan it would be nice to change my name. I am considering something less controversial. Maybe "Adolph Hitler"? hmmm.

I had some power around here at one time (former Prez). (threaten) Oh, wait. I can still bring the server to it's knees. (insert evil laugh). I was thinking maybe Kim Jong since Kim is my first name and that's not too contraversial either. With Algae all I picture is a bunch of green slimy stuff!
