Byrd Posted October 8, 2009 Share Posted October 8, 2009 Just throwing this out there, but I have been using Pulsrite bulbs for the last year and having been exchanging PAR values and results with members on RC who also have been using them for years. My PAR values on the 250 DE MH 20K bulbs at a depth of 22 inches are 210 and 3 inches below the surface 430, the 14K bulbs are double those figures. At 49.00 for TWO delivered, I wont go back to a name brand bulb ever-I've done side by side comparison with Ushio and SPS when I had my 150DE MH bulbs and the Pulsrite hold their own to those brands. IMO- my corals in my tank whether SPS, LPS or whatever all do very well and if the bulbs were junk I think it would be evident in the corals not doing well Just thought worth mentioning, I can almost by 4 bulbs for the cost of a single Radium or other NAME brands-FYI Just trying to help folks out-Just not sure if the forum allows me to mention the source, I dont have a dog in the fight but the seller is not a sponsor.
