ClayTheSavageFraser
I just found a white bug on my reef. The lights are out and I was on the prowl for my missing leopard wrasse. I found something that looks like a huge white flea. Anybody know what this might be? Clay
snowpunk
Could be a pod, could be a baby snail. We need pics to tell for sure!!!!DOH!
ClayTheSavageFraser
Dude, It's to small for a pic! I wish I could! It's like a centimeter long and it looks like a huge white flea. Has antenneas and is crazy fast! Clay
Rick
I would browse some of the hitchhiker listings and see if you can identify it that way. Unfortunately the description could cover a variety of both good and bad things. Check this thread and see if you can find it amongst the stuff in my old overflow: http://www.pnwmas.org/forums/showthread.php?t=13533 If you can find a match then it should be fine as there isn't anything in those pics that is bad. Rather they are just an indication of a healthy system. (I'm hoping my new tank looks the same before long)
oxx155
My guess would be pod, they do look like tiny white fleas. But, Rick is right you should look through pics till you completely identify it.

Clay An amphipod is the first thing to come to mind by your description. http://www.nano-reef.com/invertebrates/?id=2 These are one of the most common and desirable hitch hikers to show up in reef tanks. A very good supplemental food.
