Algae
TO THE ROSES! That was a good game! Kudos to the Beavs for being a worthy opponent. Canfield is the real deal. Talk about a QB with poise under pressure and a good arm (lefty too). Looks like we have two great Oregon teams! The age of the downfall of USC? The trouble is is that the press often looks upon USC as going backward and not other PAC 10 teams as simply getting better.
downhill_biker
As soon as Cora and I got out of the patient session we drove over to the bar with half of her class and watched the last 3/4 of the game. It was amazing! I loved every minute, what a fun game to watch. Too bad we couldn't hear anything, but there were some OSU fans there, so it was fun to rub it in when we won. Also an Arizona alumni in Cora's class, I love mention the crowd rushing the field, just to go back into the stands and get beat in double OT. Unfortunately I will be gone for the rosebowl. I dont think it will be airing in Egypt...lol.

I would totall agree with that. I actually don't follow football anymore but I still like to give the fans a hard time. Congrat's on the victory and entry to the Rose Bowl. ThePremiumAquarium
Congrats duck! Well played game by both teams. I really would have loved to see the last minute and a half of the game played so that the Beaves might have had a shot at running the ball down the field and picking up the win but oh well. I enjoyed watching every minute of the game. I kinda wish I wouldn't have been the nights DD though lol. Oregon is going to kick some ars in the Rosebowl! I will definatley be a ducks fan for the second day of the year(had to root hard for them at the Arizona game!).
tidalsculpin
Got hand it to MED RED. TCU FROGS are 14-0. I'd love to see em play the Ducks.
MedRed
arggg... Texas should have lost that game last night. TCU would have been in the National Championship. ARGHHHHHHH Nebraska gave them that game. They kicked the kick off out of bounds half field. Then they gave them a 15 yard pass interference. Then Colt threw the ball out of bounds with 1 second left in the game. 1 second was enough to kick a 40 something yard field goal to win by one point. [language filter]. SO pissed. So pissed. MedRed
The biggest kick in the crotch comes from these BCS bowl announcements. [language filter]!!! I'm beyond pissed. They matched us up with BSU. We played that game last year already. Neither of us want to play each other. We want to play BCS teams and prove we shouldn't get shafted in the ratings year after year. The BCS totally performed damage control by having us play each other. They don't want us to take out any of their beloved teams and further derail the validity of the BCS. SUCH CRAP!!!!!!!!!!! I'm full of HATE!!!!!!
impur
LOL i thought that was pretty crappy too. Put the 2 midmajors in the bowl against each other [language filter]??? Now we will never know how good they are.
mister crabs
tcu should have gotten florida and cincy should have been playing boise. would have been more exciting. but now you have something in common with the ducks. both having been shafted out of the bcs title game. you this year and the ducks in 01. Michael7979
Mid-majors will never be invited to the title game. Sorry to say but it is a fact. TCU should be playing Alabama this year! But all the 'big boy' conferences would have crapped themselves if that were to have happened. That is why they found that mystery second in the Texas/Nebraska game! So now here is the dielema: Texas or Alabama will be undefeated. BSU or TCU will be undefeated. Cincy may be undefeated. So with 2 and possible 3 undefeated teams after the bowl games, who is the best? Everyone will say Alabama 'cuz they are from the SEC and the others are from a smaller conference. But I think it is crap! The BCS picked the games this way so that at least one major conference would have an undefeated team to give the national title to. And leave the mid-majors out in the cold again.
impur
The BCS learned its lesson last year. They will not put a mid-major against one of their babies again after Utah exposed Bama last year. That will not happen again, they can't allow their cash cows to get exposed and embarrassed. So get used to it guys, you won't see a mid-major against a top tier BCS team again.

impur
Notice some glaring omissions? 1 DUCK ON THE ENTIRE 1ST TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a freaking sham. Oregon leads the pack in scoring offense, rushing offense, and 2nd in total yards but not a single UO offensive lineman is on the 2 deep? Oregon won the Pac10 by the largest margin in 15 years, has led the pac in scoring offense, rushing offense and total yards for 3 years running (or top 2) yet not a single offensive lineman warrants a 1st or 2nd team nod? What a crock. Part of the problem is they didn't even wait until all the games were played to vote on the All Pac team!!!! Now the beavs have 7 guys on the 1st team, the most of any team in the conference. So doesn't that mean Gee Golly Riley does less with more? There seems to be this persona that he does more with less, but this is proof he does less with more isn't it? He has most of the best players in the conference at each position right? Less with more right there.
impur
Check it out, UT and Lame Kiffin are being investigated for recruiting violations? I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! (laugh) Honestly i didn't think it would happen in year 1, i figured year 2 or 3 they would figure it out. But i guess they caught on quicker than I thought! I love it. They didn't even try to hide it, they just sent hookers to the recruits and they held up signs, did the nasty, the whole deal. Classic. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/football/ncaa/12/09/tennessee.recruiting.ap/index.html http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4727155 http://deadspin.com/5422400/tennessees-hostess-program-catches-recruits-and-ncaas-eyes Hilarious. That being said, I am so proud of Chip Kelly right now. After a humiliating defeat in Boise and the loss of one of our best players he pulled through and made a good season out of it. I think that this just shows how much heart the players have and how much they work as one, rather than having individual stars.

MedRed
PAC 10 is so overrated. BYU made it look so easy... and TCU creamed BYU. BCS has got to go. Utah vs. Cal coming up. Another MWC victory?
impur
PAC 10 is so overrated. BYU made it look so easy... and TCU creamed BYU. BCS has got to go. Utah vs. Cal coming up. Another MWC victory? Gotta love transitive math. Its proves..........nothing. Wait..........nope still proves nothing. TCU is a good team but they play in a weak conference. 2 great years does not mean the system should change for TCU. Just lookup TCU head to head against other conferences. The best Pac10 team they beat, ever, was a 8-4 U$C team in 1977. In the last 20 years they beat 5-7 Stanford, 4-8 Stanford, 2-10 Zona, 8-5 U$C in a bowl game, and lost to 3-8 WSU and 6-6 Zona. Doesn't impress me much. 1 win over a Pac10 team with a winning record in 20 years. If the Pac10 is overrated, there isn't a scale for how overrated that makes TCU look. I respect that they are trying to play the games against the BCS conferences, but you gotta go after the upper tier teams, not the bottom feeders. TCU is: 35-30 vs Big12 9-9 vs Pac10 9-11 vs Big10 9-22 vs SEC 2-6 vs ACC 0-1 vs BigEast Those numbers need to change before conferences look to pull TCU in. A winning record against only 1 BCS conference.
impur
But yah, Beavs got spanked pretty good. It was obvious they didn't want to be in that bowl. Reminded me of when the Ducks played down there against.....BYU! and got spanked. Going from playing for the Rosebowl all the way down to the Las Vegas bowl is a big let down. Just didn't play sharp, Quizz didn't look into it, they didn't get the ball to James Rodgers. Oh well hard for me to be unhappy, it was the Beavs. (laugh)

A winning record against only 1 BCS conference. Take a look... TCU has had a decade of success... not two years. In that time we've gone from the WAC to Conference USA to the MWC. TCU was supposed to be a Big 12 team when the SW conference dissolved but the freaking governor at the time was a Baylor alum and wouldn't bless the deal without Baylor being in. Going back 20 years is dumb. We were a horrible team back then. We've been etching out great success under Franchoine and now Gary Patterson. If you want to do that I should go back to the 30's when TCU were national champs. We can only play the teams on our schedule... the sad is no one has any balls to play us. and yes... The PAC 10 is super overrated.
impur
Ok so we'll go back 10 years instead of 20 since that makes TCU look better i guess. We can contort stats in our favor pretty easily, but 20 years is a pretty common time span to use in order to figure out if a team is a flash in the pan wonder or overrated. Since 20 years makes TCU look overrated, lets look at 10 years. 2008 11 2 2007 8 5 2006 11 2 2005 11 1 Joined the Mountain West in 2005, was in Conference USA prior 2004 5 6 2003 11 2 2002 10 2 2001 6 6 Joined Conference USA in 2001, was in Western Athletic prior 2000 10 2 1999 8 4 Beat Vanderbilt (2-10) and Vanderbilt (2-9) from SEC Beat Stanford (5-7), Stanford (4-8), Arizona (2-10), Southern California(8-5) Pac10 Beat Northwestern (6-6), Northwestern (3-9), Northwestern (8-4) Big10 Beat Baylor(3-9), Baylor (4-8), Texas Tech (8-5), Oklahoma (8-4), Iowa State (7-5) Iowa State(3-8) Big12 Lost Arizona(6-6), Northwestern(3-8), Texas Tech (8-4), Nebraska (11-2), Texas A&M (8-4) 5 wins over teams in BCS conferences with a .500 record or better in 10 years. Sorry it just doesn't do it for me. You can only play the teams on your schedule so schedule better. TCU had 2 years .500 or under and 2 above .500 IN CONFERENCE USA!!!! These are the facts. I'm not trying to put TCU down, they are having a great year and are a great team. I think they should be in the MNC game. But i don't think they are as great as you do, and I think my opinion is represented similarly across the football landscape for the reasons i've pointed out.
