kilmca
The 15k will look the best and the 12k will probably give you faster growth. I assume the 15k bulbs puts off a white with blueish tint light and the 12k puts off a white with yellow tint light. I use 14k cause i like the way it looks - white light with blueish tint. i'm not as concerned about rate of growth since i'm not looking to sell corals. Benny503
Darn.. anyone here with 12K for 150W DE? I need my corals to growth. I kept on changing water weekly by the book (bible but see no growth) now I am changing the lights.
Rick
I think 10k will show even more growth but the closer you get to the natural kelvin of sunlight (somewhere around 7000) the more yellow the light will be. I really like the color of the 20k (a distinct blue color) myself but I'm running 14k/15k right now to hopefully get more growth and the color still has a blue tint. stylaster
im a fan of the 15k myself, the 20ks i use for low light corals such as chalices. If i was doing sps and most lps i would stick with 15k
