For instanc emy little giant pumps 650 GPH at 0 head height but drops to about 520 GPH when pumping it up to the tank. Check this link first to figure the flow at your head height: http://www.reefcentral.com/calc/hlc2.php Based on what I could see I would run two 1" drains just for the extra insurance.
