undrtkr_00
Took this photo yesterday, July 8th: When I picked these up (a little more than a week ago), all 5 polyps were happy and healthy. I bagged them up and took them home, but just floated them in the sump overnight and took them to work, where my small tank is. It took them a while to open up, and actually I only got 3 to open up (see pic, showing 3 open polyps and 1 closed, 5th is MIA). Now, today, only two are open, one is closed, and a second polyp is MIA. I'm guessing this is the zoa pox that others are having trouble with. Hopefully these last 3 will hang on until I have time to treat them, but that could be a couple of days away... (scary)
impur
In the meantime put them in medium-high flow. That will stave off the pox until you can treat hopefully.
undrtkr_00
Thanks for the tip. I'll move them down into a higher flow area.
undrtkr_00
Updated pic. Down to 1 polyp, but he looks pretty happy. Funny thing is that I haven't seen any spots that would indicate zoa pox - even on the polyps that have died. (scratch) Not sure what else to think, though. undrtkr_00
OK - a belated update. Though you can't see it, there is another baby behind the big polyp, so 3 babies and 1 full polyp = 4 total.
