If there was a choice in running a 150 with sps at the top or a 250 with sps anywhere wouldn't a single 250 be worth it?

I would think so, yes. I was just answering the question. Now if I bought this tank, I would definately look for a 250 watt ballast

I actually really like a lot of blue, don't know why its just my preference. I have a 150w 20K radium that is brand new in the box, so I may just toss that on for a while. so some SPS near the top would probably be alright until the funds rebuild to upgrade the lighting?

How tall is the tank jen?? You could try a small test frag of acro closer to the bottom. just for S and G's to see what happens. They may surprise us all.

I don't know yet, but I pick the tank up on Thursday so I'll measure then. I like the idea of test frags! I'll definitely try that....
