Just got a bill for almost double of what I have been paying(flame) Called them and oh you need this and this and it is still a ungodly price. They offer you this sweet deal for 3 months then give you the shaft when it is all done. Hell my wife thought it was going to be 12 months [language filter]? I look at it this way there are so many million billion people in the US then I am one and paying 125 plus a month for there crap. Especially them being freakin NAZI'S about buying the Blazer games and not selling the channel to the satellite companies unless the sat companies give them an ungodly amount of money. I am one of those lucky ones that has cable hooked up that someone forgot to shut off. Honestly, you may want to do some research before making a statement like this. Comcast has NEVER NOT wanted to sell blazer rights....you can call the Blazer front office about it. The Satellite companies want it for next to nothing...how is that fair when the local channel would not pay for it and comcast came in and said that they will pay what it is worth...so in the LONG RUN more people WILL be able to see the games as more companies sign up. Feel free to PM me and I can explain in length Blazer suits have gone on the local talk radios and stated PUBLICLY that Comcast is asking fair price. THe proof is that MANY smaller companies (charter I believe) DO carry the channel...they can afford it but the satellite companies have refused (perhaps they have decided to carry next year...I'm not sure of that yet). It is a promotion and they often are a limited time deal. Heck, verizon was having people sign a 2 year contract...what if your service sucked or they SOLD OUT (yep, they did sell out here in oregon last week) and you were stuck in a 2 year contract? bummer for you. Scott, call up and ask for 'retention' - I'm willing to bet they will work with you. I'm sure y'all will flame me, go ahead....but I challenge you to find a company that does not do these things. Also, keep in mind that Comcast is held to extremely strict call-answer times when you call for support/billing etc. Other companies are NOT held to these standards (satellite and verizon etc). You will talk to someone fairly quickly when calling comcast here in Oregon. I will put on my asbestos shorts and be ready to close my eyes when the flames shoot towards me. downhill_biker Posted May 29, 2009 Share Posted May 29, 2009 its worse over here in utah. we live down town in the "nice" neighborhood and we only get 5mbps instead of the 7mbps that is available in some areas. thats from qwest. comcast wanted more for introductory rate, and it only lasted 3 mo. with 2 year contract. we got qwest with hd dvr, phone and 5mbps for less, and it is 12 mo. intro with no contract. if we dont like it we leave. it jumps up 30/mo after the 12 mo, so we'll see. and we have to pay tax!!! this tax thing is messing me all up. The Nazi comment was a little over the top but it was effective I never stated they wouldnt sell them at all I just was told the asking price was too much. The screwy thing is that I can buy any other Comcast Sports Net bu the NW one All my info is based off what Comcast, Directv, and Dish Network customer Support can tell me which is nothing. None of them have an answer. Do you mind telling me what the asking price is? I was told it was ludacris something like $25 month for one channel. Fill me in on this Mark. The guy who did the relocate of the line on my house from Qwest was a bad a$$. He got me hooked up with the right people and never had any price increases or screwed up bills. Its slow, undependable, no option for no contract, poor service, mother company in big lawsuits over customers that can't get service and are still being charge early termination fees, and in general most who switch end up coming back to me or comcast. Stick with a dedicated line that you can indeed still be entirely mobile with. Qwest now offers free WiFI at thousands of places such as McDonalds, Starbucks, and oh Barnes and Nobles! I think my comcast(yes I know but can't get my own [language filter] service) is only running at 2.4 mb right now lol.
