My wife fell in love with this cute little starfish. It hasn't been cooperative with posing for a picture yet either.DOH!

But here goes. Its dorsal side is Orange and Black. It has 6 legs, yes 6.(nutty) And it seems to like to eat algae off the glass. It is fairly smooth, and not bumpy.

Thanks in advance(rock2)

Too fast for the camera?(laugh)
Could it possibly be the Indian Sea Star (Fromia indica)? It is known to feed on algae. (number of legs on seastars can sometimes vary)http://www.starfish.ch/Fotos/echinoderms-Stachelhauter/starfish-Seesterne/Fromia-indica.jpg

I am leaning towards Echinaster luzonicus.

It does looks very much like E. luzonicus, although your star seems to have rounded tubercles.

What are "tubercles"?

Tubercles are the bumps or spines on the aboral surface(top). Here are some examples in a variety of seastars. http://www.wetwebmedia.com/seastars.htm
In your picture it is difficult for me to tell if what appears as tubercles, is coloration on a smooth surface or not.
