I clicked on the wrong forum for this topic... sorry all. Feel free to move it admin...
Hi all.. I'm contemplating a job change and was wondering if anybody had any leads from the great Silicon Forest. I have a degree in Computer Engineering and have been in a, let's say, un-related industry since I graduated. (It's a long story) :)
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Ben

You only want a job in computers? Willing to live in Eugene?
If you have any finance background we will be hiring a buyer at my work soon.

For the time, yes, I'm looking to stay in the Beaverton/Portland area.
As for the industry... I'm open to interesting ideas but I would feel better about paying off my student loans if I was actually making money with the education they payed for :D
Thanks for the info, however. Any and all is helpful.

High risk auto finance. We buy contracts from dealerships in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, and California plus just starting in Arizona. We charge 30% :D

So you are the sellers and provide the financing? Is this a Financial Analyst position?

Its an underwriting position. We provide the financing. We don't sell unless its a car we have repo'd.

the big bad Intel guys are always hiring and when you get on they have some of the nicest benifits around.

Last I heard, they had a Hiring freeze going on cause of very poor Q1 earnings

Intel has been shut down big time... happened a couple of months ago and you'll be hearing more about it in the future. Actually, they never really picked up again since I interviewed there 5 years ago. Except for manufacturing techs...
As of right now I have a position being offered after the background check clears (unless they find out about that...oh nevermind) :) but thanks for the updates...
