View Full Version : Baby cerith snail? Need help with id please

I just found this little guy on the acrylic cube my oregon tort is growing on. My ceriths lay eggs all the time so thats my guess but i wanted to see what others thought. Its about the size of a pencil lead and pure white shell even though in a few pics it looks like then tip is darker. Its not, its fully white. Very tough to get a pic of. I had just read that the eggs rarely produced new snails. Anyway...

Ya know, I think I have the same thing from my turbo snails. They come out when the lights go out. Maybe they are some kind of pod, but they sure look like little snails.

Hmm, well this was definately a snail. I left him in a tiny saucer overnight and this morning he was cruising around like other ceriths do.
