Magnesium question?

I recently brought my mag levels up to about 1500. I've been testing all of my levels for the past week, and while the Alk and Cal seem to drop at a consistent basis, the Mag seems to be staying at 1500. Alk and Cal are being dosed everyday to keep up with the drop in levels, but why aren't my Mag levels dropping (scratch)? Is this normal or am I getting false readings? Any advice would be appreciated

My experience is Mag is the easiest to keep constant. If you do regular water changes with good salt it should stay up their in that range. Here is a good read if you haven't read it already. http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-06/rhf/index.php

I've found the same thing in my tank. The only system I've heard about going through mag is the coral system at OIAB.
