New Shop Update!

I have been very busy working on prepping the new shop for its grand opening and wanted to give everyone an update.

So far I have ripped out all of the old carpeting, old coffee bar with mini sink, preped the floor, and have almost finished with the flooring. Then on to the new tank setup and step by step transfer of each side of the garage setup to the new shop.

I will be pretty busy over the weekend and next week but I am still available by appointment for those of you that wish to swing by and grab a few things :) I have lots of clean up crew, plenty of softies and lps and even some nice fish!

You have one of the best groups out there down your way! I really enjoy every time I get to meet up with you guys. I wish I could have made it to the meet and great but had a bunch of other stuff I had to get done. It will be great to have all of you up once the shop is done!

Update:

Things are moving along nicely. I now have 3 new sets of tanks running in the shop waiting for their new residents to move in :) Nearly 1000g of new tank space will be in the shop! There will be nearly 1000lbs of live rock running in the new systems to really get things going so the transition to the new tanks should go fairly smoothly.

Next up,
Testing
Moving critters, corals, etc.
Running a bit more electrical
Moving over more drygoods
Breaking down old systems 1 at a time to move them over.
and Setting up the new show tank(probably last though I can't wait!)

Glad to see you back in with reefing!! I wondered where you went lol. I am thinking the grand opening will be the first or second weekend in August though I am approaching the deadline quickly and still have a good amount of work to get done so the second weekend my end up being the official grand opening. I will probably "soft open" the week before just to get things rolling :) My sign for the shop wont be ready for about a month so I would imagine things will be real slow until it is up and people have a chance to see that there is a new retail shop in town.

I will have tons of critters in to help get your filled up! Lots of rock and such as well. Let me know if I can help get you anything or have anything ready for when you come up.

Update:

Well tonight I finished plumbing all of the tanks! I still have alot to get done but the shop is coming along nicely. All of the livestock and drygoods(98%) have been moved over and the tanks are doing real well. I have gotten a bit of the lighting up on the stage one tanks and once the stage two tanks are up then I will be able to finish all of that.

I will be opening officially on the 12th and will be having a BBQ on Saturday the 13th for my Grand Opening! More info to come on that soon but I just wanted to give you all a bit of an update.



Also, I will have 3x 40br as well as 4x 30g ish frag tanks available as well as some lighting. I couldn't find a place in the new shop for them so I will have them up for grabs at a really good price when I have some time to get them listed. If anyone is intersted, let me know.

Once again thanks for meeting up with me today, and for the new pendant and radium bulb:-) looks bueno over the tank! Insane how much brighter that elite fixture with radium bulb is than my lumen max III and phoenix bulb combo!! Also your shop looks killer mang!!!! Can't wait to come down and visit again in a few weeks!!

I checked out the shop yesterday and its going to be nice!!! That shop was MADE to be a LFS everything just fits so perfect and its all nice and clean. Well done Garrett keep up the good work!

Grand Opening begins at noon on Friday! I will probably have just hung my temporary banner up until the big sign gets here and will likely be running around like crazy :) I have a couple of friends coming to help BBQ and bag critters as needed.

I will have some soda choices, water, burgers, dogs, and chips :)

Not all of the tanks will be fully loaded but their should be a good amount of stock to choose from. I am picking up a couple of orders this week that have some real nice critters in them and their are some pretty awesome LPS and Softies aready in the tanks. This event is to get things going so expect continued improvement in stock availability and such. I am excited to meet those of you who I have yet to meet and am excited to hang with those of you who I have hung with many time :)
