Wood stand and canopy, about 10 years old, still works but isn't cosmetically beautiful anymore
Tank back is drilled in both upper corners and center for CL

how "un-beautiful" is it? is it just scratched up? or is it bad?

Actually, from the outside it looks pretty good. Inside, the hinges are a bit rusty and the wood is starting to show that it has been around water for 10 years.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but do you need to add your own overflow? Or drill the tank for one?

You could get an acrylic box made for under $20 at Tap Plastics and glue it in for the overflow box. You can even use one of the existing holes for the drain. Pretty simple DIY job.
