ok so we want a goby for our new tank to keep that sand lookin good. i have heard a diamond watchman goby works well or a blennie of some kind. what do you guys think? any other sand sifters that do a great job of keeping sand clean? and how deep of a sandbed is required? I am going to starboard bottom in tank then rock and fill sand around so i dont have to worry about the little guy digging around rock and having it fall over. any problems with this plan or suggestions to make it better? Diamond watchman gobies do a good job, bullet gobies and dragon gobies do well also. A higher maintenance fish is the twin spot gobie.

higher maintenance how so?
I think most twin-spots arent as hardy as most others. Thats just what Ive heard from most people. Ive had a yellow watchman for 2 years and hes been great. Later Ryan

I've heard and read the twin spotted gobies do better in pairs.

twin spots need to be kept in pairs, but they stay fairly small too, but without its partner the lonely one will usually die quickly. It's kind of a really cute thing for a fish to do

You can usually find two at a store IF a store can get them in. I have seen them at Advanced and Fanta-Seas
