Ctenochaetus hawaiiensis, IMO They're overpriced, but that's because I'm a poor college student. Man, they are stunningly beautiful though. They're detrivores, which always will have a place in my reef...but for now, I'm sticking with Kole Tang's (Ctenochaetus strigosus) for $35...not quite as pretty, but they are workhorses.
Hey, maybe Ed's reef will accept collegiate text books for trade in!

cool fish I like to pick him up.
If I recall correctly these are one of the bristletooth tangs and are excellent tank cleaners. If they were priced around the same as the Kole or Bristletooth I would probably have one.

Rick you recall correctly they are in the bristle tooth family and retail online have these in a different price group than the kole tangs thats for sure.
Hey Diver, I was gonna bug Ed today to see if "my" fish showed up, he told me you had something coming in I may want-Is this it?
I know it was on my list but could not find one in town, so I got blue eyed kole ( I wanted a bristle tooth) which I wish I would not have, not going to be able to catch it until I switch tanks
Chevrons are sweet looking, I wish they stayed that way through maturity-
Awesome fish and I have NEVER seen one that small SAWEET!!!!

I am pretty sure that 3rd one down would look best in my tank-although it seems they may all be the same fish (2-4), pic 2 and 3 look to be the same????
Westside has one about 6 inches or so, they just loose all the orange and just dont look like the same fish, unless Tim was wrong and told me his adult chevron was not what the fish he thought it was (laugh)
Expect a phone call today boys-LOL
